living online, finding "ambient awareness"

i am finding my self (and others) on facebook planet quite a bit these days- so much to where i am not sure i even want to be there sometimes... obviously though, i am not the only one. to date, there are over a million of us checking in and out every day!! wow. and then, there is a state of consciousness that we subscribe to there.. it's called ambient awareness..
